Martin Mere Wildfowl and Wetlands trust in Lancashire is a waterfowl garden which is home to over a hundred species of ducks, geese, swans and flamingos, some of which you can feed by hand as you go around the park. There are paths throughout the wetlands area which are suitable for pushchairs. There are several hides around the area from which you can watch the birds, just don't forget to bring your binoculars. As well as a visitor centre, gift shop and cafe there is also a children's adventure playground. Martin Mere is near Buscough and is signposted from the M61, M58 and M6 motorways.
